We have had the honour of sitting down with Marcus Cooper , an athlete who has left his mark on the history of Spanish sport.
But it's not just his impressive track record that inspired us: three European golds, four World silvers and a gold medal at Rio 2016 are just some of his achievements. He was also the flag bearer for Spain at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games .
What really left its mark on us was his philosophy of life.
Marcus is not just an elite athlete; he is an example of perseverance, of how to take care of the details and not leave anything to chance.
“For me, time is the most valuable thing we have. I want to leave this world with experiences, not with doubts or things to do.”
These words resonate so deeply with us that we couldn't hide that confident smile of someone who hears from someone else what they themselves feel with each thing they do. At Pilatus we also believe in making the most of every moment, in creating products that are not only useful, but that accompany you in your day to day life without giving up anything.
The Olympic Games: the ultimate expression of detail
Marcus spoke to us about what it means to participate in the Olympic Games. Beyond the medals, for him the difference is in the details:
“The competition starts on day 1 of the season. Taking care of the details, every training session, every moment, is what makes the difference between the podium and seventh place.”
Their mentality makes us think that their values can be extrapolated to practically any situation in the lives of all of us. How we rest affects our mental agility, how we eat affects our mood, and how we think affects how we face our reality. Sport has a lot to teach us in this regard. For us at Pilatus, knowing this is very important.
Entrepreneurship with purpose
Beyond sport, Marcus is also a passionate entrepreneur. He told us about his project, Plan Cooper , an online health platform that combines fitness training, nutrition and psychology to improve people's lives.
“What makes me happy is making others happy. Health and sport are my way of doing it.”
This vision connects with Pilatus' values: we don't just want to create products, we want to be part of something bigger, to accompany you on your journey towards your goals.
