#006 - Breaking down barriers through sport

There are stories that inspire you to look at life from a different angle, that remind you of the importance of facing each challenge with courage and authenticity. And this time, we had the honor of talking with Marta Francés and Lucía Martín, two Olympic athletes who showed us that success goes far beyond medals.

Two paths with the same spirit

For Marta, triathlon was not just a discipline, but a lifeline . She told us honestly how, after undergoing a complicated operation, she found in sport a way to reconnect with herself. “I was in bed, with doubts about whether I could run again, but I decided to try, and here I am. Those scars are my most valuable medal.” She left us speechless. Her ability to transform a limiting situation into pure motivation reminded us that there is always a way to move forward.

Lucía, for her part, made us laugh with her way of describing fencing. With a mix of humour and honesty, she said: “ What other sport allows me to hit and shout at the same time? It’s perfect for me. ” But behind that joke, there is an incredibly determined woman, who has used that energy to build a solid career in a sport that is as technical as it is exciting.

Both share a vision of success that transcends results. For Marta, it is a constant learning process: “It is not just about getting there, but about everything you do to get there.” For Lucía, success is about being true to yourself: “I was always more of a go-getter, even when I wasn’t sure of the outcome. That is my victory.”
